The Cornish Deli

A compact menu with a variety of Full Cornish Breakfast but also added spice from the Frazzled Chorizo and Mushrooms dish.

Prices are fairly typical of Cornwall (I do admit that a 3 egg omelette is on the expensive side at £9.50 though). Fresh, local ingredients and good quality, tasty dishes make this small place, a little Cornish gem for breakfast.

Service is described as excellent, with children and families being made extra welcome.

Open 6 days per week (Closed Sundays) from 9.30am.

Birdie’s Bistro

A gorgeous place with stunning views near the Coastal path – this is the perfect place for breakfast after a morning walk.

An extensive breakfast menu at this Bistro in the Hayle area of St Ives. Loving the addition of Bubble and Squeak that you don’t see often enough on breakfast menus.

Duckie’s Cafe

5 Penpol Terrace, Hayle TR27 4BQ

A vibrant, colourful cafe where you get a warm welcome. The owners pride themselves on using local, high-quality products whenever possible. Reviewers describe here as ‘a wonderful little gem, that we wish we’d found sooner’.

A full varied menu that includes brunch items too – The Duckie’s Rarebit is highly recommended and sounds incredible! Savoury waffles and Eggs Florentine along with a number of vegan options make this a thoughtful menu at this Hayle based cafe. And not forgetting the Vegan Mushroom & Garlic-Thyme ‘Cheese’ Bruschetta – cor!

You can choose to eat-in or takeaway (the whole menu is available as takeaway). GF, vegan options all available. Wheelchair accessible available (bathroom not wheelchair accessible).

Friendly service, where the staff will do their best to cater to everyone’s needs. This is a welcoming, instagrammable place that you will want to return to again and again.

Whoa! This is a menu and a half! Crab Rarebit, Double Truffle Egg and Mushrooms on Toasted Bloomer and Aussie Toast are just a few of the fantastic offerings. Breakfast cocktails are also available!

Breakfast menu is served all day in this popular cafe. Service is efficient and welcoming. Food is tasty and of good quality with hints of the owner’s love of travelling throughout.

  1. I have never visited Cornwall before, so it’s nice to know where to grab some breakfast! Not sure on the prices though, I expected expensive – but almost £10 for a 3 egg omelette? Ouch!
