This delightful little venue has been described as the gold standard for how customer service should be done. With only 8 tables, this popular deli cafe can be difficult to get a spot in but its well worth trying.

Known locally as ‘Little Italy’ this family run cafe deli really goes out of its way to welcome other families.

The Breakfast menu at this Nottingham is extensive, with 5 options of a cooked breakfast alone (including Veggie and Vegan Breakfasts). The Italian Breakfast Special sounds divine! (Italian Sausage, Eggs, Roast Veg, Sourdough).

If you are looking for a simpler toast breakfast, then there are several toppings to choose from. So many options of hot drinks and Smoothies/Shakes too – You may have trouble deciding on which will be the best?

Caffe Velo Verde

Home Farm, Car Colston Road, Screveton, NG13 8JL

Caffe Velo Verde is incredibly popular with cyclists, hosting regular events throughout the year for the cycling community. Based on a working farm at the east side of Nottingham, this cafe is extremely welcoming to customers, new, old and canine.

With 10 varieties of Breakfast Cobs to choose from, before you even get to the Avocado on Toast or Breakfast waffles, you can be sure that the breakfast menu at this Nottingham cafe has something for everyone.

Outside seating available. Cash not accepted. Large groups welcome.

This is a cafe that is so proud of their coffee, they sell it in their own shop. Never suffer from caffeine withdrawal again!

Cafe Sobar

An alcohol free cafe, that is getting well deserved plaudits for its incredible food. Reviewers may find out about this place by accident but they soon return for one of the best breakfasts in Nottingham.

The welcome is warm and friendly, even when busy. A bustling atmosphere where the team spirit is evident and service comes quickly and with a smile. A light, bright interior that will set you up for the rest of the day.

The breakfast menu is no frills or nonsense, you have a Full English Breakfast, Toast or a Breakfast Sandwich (with vegetarian, vegan and children’s options available). The Breakfast Stacks (breakfast items on an English Muffin) are when you will have to start making choices.

KS’s Cafe

The Breakfast menu for KS’s Cafe is substantial! They have thought of everyone – with several Vegetarian and Vegan options available. You really don’t see Fried Egg Cobs often enough on breakfast menus.

Dine In or Takeaway Options available. Booking available for busy periods.

A Dog friendly venue in the Gedling area of Nottingham. Service is professional and friendly. Accommodating staff for any dietary requirements when possible.

Rose & Crown

500 Derby Rd, Lenton, Nottingham NG7 2GW

We don’t cover many chain restaurants in our reviews of the Best Breakfasts in the UK, but the reviews for Nottingham’s Rose & Crown are so strong that we could not leave them out. Part of the Greene King Pub chain, Breakfast is one of their strengths.

Staff are frequently praised for being so attentive and welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble. Service is speedy and efficient with customers praising the food.

Eggs are cooked just right, quality breakfast items and generous portions make this an extremely popular choice for breakfast in Nottingham.

This is the place to come to if you fancy an American Style Breakfast Diner. Described as ‘unforgettable’, the incredible service matches up to the amazing food.

The menu has every combination of breakfast option you can think of. If you don’t want to build your own breakfast, you might want to try ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly’! (2 Poached Eggs on an English Muffin with Ham and Hollandaise, accompanied by Hash Browns and griddled Tomatoes).

Prices are brilliantly competitive, making this really a place to try.

  1. There are some great places to eat breakfast in Nottingham. The Cafe Velo Verde is aptly named for cyclists and a great place for them to meet up. Love the sound of the Warsaw Diner – an American style breakfast diner sounds fabulous!
